What is a Powder Coated Kettlebell?
Powder Coat kettlebells are made from Cast Iron and then painted with Powder Coating to protect the iron and improve grip texture for grueling workouts. Powder Coating is one of the most durable types of paint available on top of kettlebells. It prevents corrosion, chipping and creates a great surface to grip. Powder Coat also holds chalk really well compared to matte or e-coat finishes. Makes a superior gripping surface and holds chalk better than other kettlebell paint. The powder coat is textured well, with enough grip as not to be slippery, but also not too much sand as to rip your ungloved hands apart. The color-coded bands, which appear to be part of a standard across different suppliers, make identification easy, especially when doing double-bell exercises.
