Resin Sand

Resin sand is a type of quartz sand that is mixed with a resin material. It refers to molding sand or core sand that uses artificially synthesized resin as a binder for sand particles. After making a mold or core with resin sand, the resin undergoes irreversible cross-linking reaction and solidifies through the action of a hardening agent, thereby providing the necessary strength to the mold or core.The chemical reaction created by the resin helps to bind and stiffen the quartz sand to make solid, hard and strong molds. The resin sand can be used to create just a part of the mold, or the entire mold material.
